HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery App revisa

Don't bother using this company and their app. I installed the app last night and signed up and tried to place order, it took credit card info during set up of account then wouldn't let me choose meals as the app kept refreshing the same page. I got frustrated and closed it for the night. In the middle off the night they charged my credit card and I was unable to even choose meals or complete set up!!!!! I tried calling customer service with zero luck only automated run around. RUN FROM THIS COMPANIES APP AND LOCK YOUR CREDIT CARD DURING SIGN UP

I am considered an accomplished cook, but I am still enjoying Hello Fresh. I enjoy the easy prep and no need for last minute grocery runs. I do occasionally adapt recipes to accommodate my husband’s very finicky palate. One major advantage is no leftovers and zero waste. I do wish recycling the freezer gel packs was an easier and less messy process.

The food always turns out great and that is because ingredients and meats they give you are so fresh and amazing. Love having to not think about what I am going to eat each week for lunch and dinner and also eat healthy at the same time.

Garbage App. You cant even sign in the page to enter your information just refreshes every second

Pre 2022 Hellofresh used to be great. I am now finding as time goes on that quality is quickly declining. I often times find that an item comes missing or vegetables will come on the cusp of rot - if not already rotting. Portion sizes used to be fair. I am 5"2 and 130lbs. I order 4 meals with 2 servings per week ($98+). I used to be able to cook one meal and have some leftover for the next night but am finding I can now often eat both sevings... Quality in ingredients has decreased. Anytime I get a meal that includes bacon - I get a packet of 95% fat and 5% bacon. Any meat meals will come with one normal sized piece of meat... cut in half for 2 servings. With the price increase it honestly doesn't make it worth it for me at all anymore. Even with a free item for life I could pick any one of these recipes and get a weeks worth of it at better quality at the grocery store. The variety and convenience is nice, sure, value not so much...

HelloFresh only uses your account credit on non-discounted boxes. Well, good luck getting a non-discounted box from HelloFresh. They are always applying some sort of discount to the box, making the box ineligible to be paid for using credit, and it is not possible to remove a discount from a box unless you contact customer support. Also, vouchers are mysteriously impossible to apply to an existing account unless you contact customer support, who then processes the voucher by giving you account credit, which then can only be used if you get customer support to remove discounts (see above).

You can’t unsubscribe in the app without talking to live support which is a violation is iOS App Store rules. Section 3.1.2(a) – Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Our first couple boxes were insane, so much variety and great food. Now, it’s okay, but it really feels like 75% of the meals are pork, and a mound of potatoes. If you want really anything else it’s an additional fee. Been doing this for about two-three months now but thinking it’s time to cancel due to lack of variety.

We have been customers for a long time and love the convenience and value of HelloFresh. Couple suggestions: please include tofu as a protein substitute for us vegetarians. Also, please make the meals, so that excluding meat is always an option, too!

We have been loyal Hello Fresh customers for over two years now. The ingredients are remarkably fresh, boxes always arrive on time, the recipes are tasty, and our kids (teens) get excited whenever it’s a Hello Fresh night. I can’t imagine getting through our weeks without it! I’m giving 3 stars for my rating of the app itself in hopes that someone from the company actually reads this review, since there is no way to provide open-ended feedback otherwise. Complaints: 1) The “algorithm” is terrible. Or, rather, there is no algorithm as far as I can tell. Despite my constantly giving certain meals 1-star reviews and explicitly requesting that they stop sending them to us… they keep appearing as default meals. The app does not “learn” your preferences at all, which requires you to proactively adjust each week’s menu in advance. Which brings us to problem #2… 2) The up-selling in the app is out of hand. If I hadn’t learned how to change my menu back when the app was streamlined I’m not sure I’d be able to do it any more. There are so many pop-ups and hidden costs and to navigate. Most meal choices are not actually included in the plan. The title protein of the meal isn’t always included in the price. Prices are quoted in “per serving” instead of the actual cost, which is 4x higher (+$9.99 per serving is DOUBLE the price of the meal!!!). And then so many attempts to sell you add-on’s and “free meals” that are not free. Stop getting in your own way! You have a great product, but some ambitious marketing exec is trying hard to ruin it…

It’s one of Worst Companies ever to buy from! They never answered the phone to make any chsnges or to cancel the orders. I ordered pre cooked meals and they sent me uncooked meals. They Never wanted to give me a Refund. I’m very Disappointed with their service.

Every single meal is amazing! I say this meal is the best and I taste the next meal and realize that one is even better, if that is even possible. Perfect spices, good amount of food. A lot of choices.

My order was delivered to the wrong address I contacted hello fresh and they took care of the situation immediately I am very pleased with my hello fresh orders the food is always fresh and clean the meat is top quality and the seasonings are great thank you help fresh for making my life easier

HelloFresh is a trashy, scammer company. I used a free box from a friend and they automatically enrolled me in a plan that I did not ask for and charged me for an additional box. Then they make it almost impossible to cancel your plan. Do yourself a favor and use a better company that doesn’t try to trick customers.

I don’t have to rely on grocery stores anymore. Even by purchasing just two meals a week I’m able to have left overs. 99% of the time I enjoy everything they send to me. Thanks hello fresh!

I’ve been using HelloFresh for a few years now. The meals and delivery service are convenient which is why I do it but the food really isn’t very good and is very repetitive. The customer service is not great either. It’s very hard to terminate services and if you can’t remember to cancel on time then you will end up paying for food you don’t want. Also, the produce they send you to cook with is garbage! I often have to throw it away because it’s rotting. Just be aware of these things before you start.

We are new to this and it’s a hit with me. I hate to grocery shop and buy specialty ingredients that get used once a year. The portions on some are a bit small, but taste great! I don’t mind the prep and the meal selection is great.

So happy for the selection of prepared meals as I have a broken arm in a sling so chopping and other prep tasks are definately out for me this month!

When I first started using HF, the meat was fine. However, meals over the past few months have included some beef, fish/shrimp, and pork that were of questionable quality. I wrote to HF about the decline, but never received a response. Recently, I heard that HF had layoffs, which indicates financial difficulties. That news does not bode well for better meals.

I had to call 2 times to get my to get my promotion on to my account and it never worked. Then I called another 3 times just to get my refund. This service is the worst I have ever experienced. Not to mentioned the meals aren’t very good nor does it save time, money or anything. It is a big waste of plastic as well!

This is hands down one of, if not THE best recipe I’ve received! I received a 4 serving pack this week. It is SO yummy! Thanks!

I love HELLOFRESH. I would love though to have more Salmon recipes as a standard.

Wish there was some way to eliminate some of the packaging.

Everything that I have tried has been so good. It’s definitely better than eating out at a restaurant and the food is just ok. My 3rd box arrives tomorrow and I’m really loving it.

Their app and website are by far the worst digital combo. Every page is a sale! Why?!?! I already bought it? I just want to look at the recipe that you forgot to include in the order!! Why are you making it more difficult? Someone who works on your digital team needs to download the app and try playing with it. It’s not a deal breaker to not get hello fresh deliveries, but it is definitely a thing I bring up to friends who ask about it. You care more about selling deals on your product than making sure it’s a good experience.

I like the food. Appreciate that I don’t have to plan. Do wish sodium wasn’t so high in so many of the recipes.

I love Hello Fresh but the app never works. I have updated it multiple times and it still doesn’t work. I have to go to the website to select my meals. What is the point of the app?

We have a middle school student and high school senior. They are in sports and activities that keep us on the go. Hello Fresh has helped us eat healthy meals, save money by not going to restaurants, and try things we normally wouldn’t. Everything is fresh and the portions are generous enough to satisfy my hard-working husband and hungry teenagers! It’s so easy- just follow the instructions and dinner is on the table in about 30 minutes. When we have games, I pack it up in containers and we eat on the road. We’ve saved so much money and time, thanks to Hello Fresh! We’re definitely keeping this up!

I love the interface of this app every meal looks so bright and all the options are easily accessible from the add ons to desserts to ready made meals ! Great design

We are loving the convenience and quality of the meals we have gotten so far. Wish there were more gluten free options or the ability to customize meals to be gluten free.

I could not deactivate or cancel my account from the app whatsoever, I had to call and use the chat feature and hope an agent responded which is ridiculous and borderline criminal. Then they told me there was a deactivate button in the call, but I will repeat there was no deactivate button on the app when my sub was active or after.

I’ve used Hello Fresh for over a year and at first, the quality was good, but for the last 6 months, the produce is wilted, the mean has been grey or punctured where it leaks all over everything. When I placed the issues in the app, I would get a partial in app credit. When I tried skipping some weeks, I would get notifications to unskip, but it never notified when the end of the skip, not notify me to make selections. I had a “free item for life’l but if I missed picking the box, I would not get the free items. I tried it a few times afterwards, but the quality just isn’t there and feels like a money pit. I canceled the subscription.

Every meal has been delicious and the cooking directions are clear and easy to follow 99% of the time! We love Hello Fresh - delivered right to our front door!

Sneakily adds things to your cart, recommends things that aren’t even close to what I usually order, refuses to refund (yet can still change meals and delivery address), and many of the ingredients I’ve gotten look old anyway. Way better things out there.

Please give more regular seafood options without charging more money

Items are sometimes left out. Today cilantro was missing At times the green beans are not fresh. Can usually go to the grocery store for substitutes. But not always.

Love the convenience and the new menu items. This beats the same ole same ole meals that we usually have.

Very good! We expected more of a Mexican dish but this was a pleasant surprise. You have to make sure to wash your dishes and clean up right away or the ingredients can stain. Would def order again.

Hello Fresh helped my roommate and I be more decisive of what we want and it saved us so much money on our weekly finances. There are so many options to choose on the website and it blows my mind how easy it is to make them. Not only are we trying new things every day, it gives me more confident on cooking a variety of meals without the instructions. I’m looking forward to more meals on the way and I highly recommend trying Hello Fresh.

It’s so easy! Just follow the recipe on the card enclosed and you have a “meal fit for a king!” I can’t say enough about how much I love Hello Fresh. There are so many choices. I recommend it to all my friends.
